How long do Original Diva Hair Extensions last?
This is always a difficult question to answer as it depends on how frequently you wear the extensions, what you do to them and the level of maintenance. On average, and with the right care, our clip-on extensions last for more than six months and permanent extensions last more than three months.
Is Hair Quality Important?
There are a number of reasons why hair extension quality is so important. The quality of the hair determines how easy it will be to maintain the extensions. Also they will look and feels more natural and last longer. At Original Diva, we use only the very best quality A-grade remy (tangle free) 100% human hair on all of our extensions and they have been designed to not damage your natural hair.
What does remy mean?
Remy is when the roots and ends of each hair extension strand are placed in the same direction, resulting in minimal cross over of hair within the extension. This technique makes the hair less prone to tangling, easier to style, care and maintain.
Can I curl, hot-iron or straighten the extensions?
At Original Diva, we use the best 100% human hair extensions which means they can be curled, hot-ironed and straightened, just like your natural hair.
What Shampoo and Conditioner should I use?
After 48 hours of wearing the extensions, you should wash the extensons with a high moisture shampoo and conditioner. If you use a high protein based shampoo and conditioner, they can dry the extensions. We do not recommend the use of products that contain sulphur.
When shampooing the extensions, gently rub down the hair shaft. A conditioner must be applied after shampooing. Once this is done, squeeze excess water and towel dry before styling.
What should I do when sleeping with the extensions?
Plait your hair when sleeping as this will avoid excessive tangling.
Can I color the extensions?
Original Diva extensions have been previously treated and chemically processed to provide the best quality hygenic human hair. It is not recommended to lighten or lift colour from this hair. If you must colour, we recommend purchasing a lighter colour and using semi-permanent colour to deposit only.
What effect does exercising, steam baths or saunas have on hair extensions?
If you exercise with your extensions, we recommend you rinse and condition the extensions after exercising. Salt from exercising if allowed can build up and will strip moisture and proteins from the hair.
